My Heart and The Man Behind The Scene

The quiet force behind Mama Jackie’s is my boyfriend — the one who makes this whole wildly flour-dusted life possible. He’s the steady hands when things get chaotic, the extra set of shoulders when the ovens are full, and the reason there’s space for me to build something like this while still being home on the farm.

He’s not always front and center, but he’s in every bake, every early morning, and every long day that turns into something worth sharing.

It started with sourdough for health reasons — I was trying to make something better for my boyfriend, and something better for myself too. Around the same time, I had a knee replacement and a lot of forced slow-down, and bread became something steady to do with my hands while everything else healed and shifted.
